Curafix®
i.v. Control is a specialized, skin-friendly cannula fixation
plaster designed by Lohmann & Rauscher. It is specifically engineered to
provide secure stabilization for intravenous catheters while maintaining a high
standard of moisture management and site visibility.
Key Features & Benefits
· The
dressing is impermeable to water but remains permeable to water vapor. A porous
adhesive coating further reduces moisture accumulation.
· Due
to its breathability, the risk of skin maceration is particularly low compared
to standard non-permeable dressings.
· It
features a transparent viewing window that allows healthcare providers to
inspect the puncture site for signs of infection or displacement without
removing the plaster.
· A
specialized recess on the patch is designed for the additional stabilization of
cannulas, ensuring they remain in place during patient movement.
Each
fixation bandage is individually sterile-packed to ensure patient safety.
